|Denbigh Baptist Christian School was organized in 1969 as a ministry of Denbigh Baptist Church. The Lord has blessed the school in many ways as it has grown from 15 students enrolled in the first kindergarten in September of 1970, to it's first high school graduating class in 1980.
In 1997, DBCS
became an Accredited Member of the Association of Christian
Schools International (ACSI), and is recognized by the Commonwealth of Virginia.
"To develop godly character and responsible citizenship through consistent teaching of Biblical Truth in an academic program, emphasizing scholastic excellence and intellectual integrity."
The government of DBCS is directly and solely under a School Board of twelve elected members of the Denbigh Baptist church. This Board sets all policy and rules for the school. The Administrator, Principal and faculty work under the authority of this Board.
Denbigh Baptist Christian School is dedicated to the development of Christian character, self development, and high moral and academic standards in its students. We have qualified teachers who are committed to the goals of Christian education, and genuinely concerned for the individual student. Every subject is taught from a Christian perspective. Daily Bible classes and weekly chapel services encourage students to incorporate Christian principles in their everyday lives.
Interscholastic sports are offered in the middle and high school levels.
DBCS offers quality Christian education on every level from preschool through grade twelve.
