Real. Unifying. Challenging. Sincere. Intimate. Foundational.
These are just a few of the words students used to describe the second annual DBCS Snooze You Lose all night conference with Mark Shelley. Approximately fifty students and adult sponsors gathered for a powerful time of worship and fellowship in song, prayer, and sharing. As individuals and a group all attendees were challenged in their personal relationship with God and their role in the spiritual life of their school and the community around them.

Senior Field Trip to Richmond

On Wednesday February 24th the class of 2010 had the privilege of taking a field trip to the State Capitol in Richmond hosted by Delegate G. Glenn Oder (94th).  The class received a wonderful tour of the Capitol building before being introduced in the House of Delegates and observing the legislative session. The trip concluded with a special question answer time with Delegate Oder following the legislative session.

On Friday, Feb. 12, twelve students in 1st through 4th grade participated in the ACSI Spelling Bee at Portsmouth Christian School. Denbigh had 2 students win 3rd place-Andrew Hutsell in 3rd grade and Aubree Starnes in 1st grade. Congratulations to all who were chosen to participate.

Don’t miss the HS Choir annual DINNER and TALENT SHOW!!!
All you “hep cats” pull out your poodle skirts and bring your “daddy-o” and let the choir take you back to the 1950’s! It’ll be a “wild, blast” from the past – not a “drag”! This year’s dinner will have you remembering “Happy Days” at “Arnold’s Diner” and as always the show will be “the bomb”. So don’t “wig out” – you can get your tickets from any choir student or Mrs. Poplin. Tickets are $10 each and if you are a special “cat” you can purchase a ticket for VIP seating for $15. Seating is limited so don’t delay. Tickets will be available from any choir member or Mrs. Poplin starting February 16. If writing a check, please make payable to DBCS. All proceeds go to support the annual spring tour.

Parents of current students and potential students:
We will be taking re-enrollments starting January 25th (please remember your registration fee and entire re-enrollment packet).

For potential parents and students-enrollment starts on February 16th. We will have packets available in the school office soon but you are welcome to come for a tour anytime! We will need complete packets for registration.
