Science Honor Society uses Science to teach first and second graders |
|
First and second graders participated in a hands on experiment with the Science Honor Society. The group taught elementary students how to crush soda cans by demonstrating the phase changes of water. The water inside of the soda can was heated to a boil, and then promptly flipped into a container of ice cold water. This caused all of the water vapor inside of the can to immediately condense, which created a vacuum. The vacuum is what caused the can to crush. Thanks to all the students for participating in this event. |
