Cafeteria Information

Dear Parents,

Hi. My name is Jana Burkholder and I am the Cafeteria Director for DBCS. A new school year has begun and I look forward to serving your children in the cafeteria. You will find some helpful information on how the cafeteria operates below.

To help minimize the amount of cash the students have to carry a "Lunch Meal Card" is available for purchase. The "Lunch Meal Card" is $20. The card will only be available for purchase in the morning before school and during homeroom. They will not be sold during lunch hours (10:45AM - 1:30 PM). The cards may be used to purchase any item available to students from the cafeteria. All students should bring money or a check for a "Lunch Card" in an envelope. The envelope should be clearly marked with the student's name. All cards for all students will be kept in a box in the cafeteria. For Elementary when the card goes below $5.00 a note will be sent home to alert you. Middle and High School students will be reminded verbally when their card drops below $5.00. If lost the cards cannot be replaced. The cards are also only valid for this school year 2011-2012 and will not be carried over to the following school year.

On Monday we are offering Chic-Fil-A to all students (K4 thru 12th grade).

Chic-Fil-A Sandwich $3.50
8 Piece Nuggets $3.50

On Wednesday we are offering Subway to all students (K4 thru 12th grade).
6" Ham & Cheese Sub $3.00
6" Turkey & Cheese Sub $3.00
6" Italian BMT Sub $3.00
On Friday Pizza Hut Pizza Slices will be available to all students (K4 thru 12th grade).
Cheese and Pepperoni are available for $2.00 per slice.

Lunch orders will be taken in homeroom and sent to the cafeteria by 8:30 AM each day. The cafeteria will not order extra items. Only students who order Chic-Fil-A, Subway or Pizza Hut will have those items available. All menu items on the attached DBCS Menu will be available for lunch each day.

If your child has any special dietary allergies please give me a call to discuss them. I will do my best to accommodate your child's needs.
