Support DBCS
The Annual Campaign for Denbigh Baptist Christian School is an ongoing opportunity to invest in Christian education. Our goal for the 2011-2012 school year is $100,000 and we need your help to accomplish that goal. Funds raised by the campaign are not intended to pay for day-to-day operating expenses but will primarily be used in 4 key areas: technology initiatives to prepare our students for the 21st century, capital investment in our facilities, training and tuition assistance for our staff, and a strategic operations reserve.
To learn more on the campaign and how it will be administered, view the DBCS Annual Campaign brief in the resources section and all donations to the Annual Campaign will be used exclusively to accomplish that goal. DBCS is a ministry of Denbigh Baptist Church, Inc, a tax-exempt organization. All donations to the campaign are tax deductible. We have listed a few details from our first 3 projects we will accomplish with your support. The success of this campaign is vitally important to the future of our school. We encourage you to make this investment and partner with us as we reach this goal.
Transportation Fleet Modernization
Our buses and vans are used heavily throughout the school year for such things as academic field trips and athletic events. Our current fleet is aging and we are seeing significant increases in maintenance costs. Last year, we retired a van and a bus. It is time to begin modernizing the remainder of our fleet, both to ensure the future safety of our students and staff who are using the vehicles and also to control our maintenance expenses. This project is our number one priority for 2011-2012.
Brewin
Basement Renovation
Denbigh Baptist Church started renovating the basement of the Brewin building this past summer by installing new ceilings, lights, and painting all of the rooms. Now the old tile floors need to be replaced to complete the project in our cafeteria and Elementary classrooms. This project is our number 2 priority for 2011-2012.
Wireless Campus
DBCS
believes there are some tremendous opportunities to
expand the use of technology in the classroom and
use it to dramatically enhance the learning process.
On a pilot basis, our staff has already begun utilizing
mobile devices and tablets to enhance in-curriculum
learning.
Our goal is to incorporate these devices into the classroom, to equip our students for the tools of tomorrow. Establishing a secure and reliable infrastructure which supports these devices, the wireless campus project is the first step in implementing this goal and allows access to our internal network as well as controlled access to the Internet as needed. This project is our third priority for 2011-2012. |
