Greg, after 25 years of involvement in education, has moved into the administrator position at DBCS.  Greg has taught and or coached in five different schools, taught 18 different courses, and coached six different sports.  Greg has been at DBCS since 1994.  The Lord is now using Greg’s broad knowledge to continue to lead DBCS up the road that is honoring and pleasing in His sight.

Greg grew up in Greensboro, NC and upon graduating high school went to Ferrum Junior College and earned an Associates Degree in Engineering.  From there Greg went to Va. Tech and earned a degree in Physical Education. Greg later earned a Masters degree in Guidance and Counseling from Radford University.

Born in a solid Christian home Greg learned the importance of serving the Lord Jesus Christ.  Through his involvement in Young Life and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Greg, came to the saving knowledge of the Lord’s desire to have a personal relationship with him and now follows the Lord’s leading in all aspects of his life.

Greg met his wife, Connie, while they were both students at Va. Tech.  The Lord has blessed them with four lovely daughters who love the Lord and all of whom have been or still are students at DBCS.

Steve Fletcher, Elementary School Coordinator
sfletcher@denbighbaptist.org

After graduating in Denbigh Baptist Christian School's first graduating class in 1980, I received a BS from Tennessee Temple University in 1984 and then returned to my high school alma mater. I have taught and coached at Denbigh Baptist Christian School for 25+ years. My first teaching assignment was 4th grade. I truly enjoyed those little ones and stay in touch with many of them to this day. After spending some time in High School P.E., I settled in at the Middle School level teaching Bible. It is a great fit for me. In addition to teaching Bible, I have the privilege of being the Elementary Coordinator. It is an honor to work with awesome Elementary Faculty and Staff.

My wife is very active in the music program of Denbigh Baptist Church. We are blessed with 2 daughters. Our oldest is at Liberty University and is enjoying all the freedom associated with being on her on (but with mom and dad still relatively close). Kristin is working toward her Education degree. My youngest is a total joy in spite of the fact that she is confined to a wheelchair as a result of spina bifida

I am also excited to return to the varsity ladies' basketball program. In addition to my administrative, teaching and coaching positions, I also work for the Peninsula Rescue Mission. I do graphic layouts part-time for them during the school year and help fulltime during the summer with their camp ministry.

Coach Keating accepted Christ while in college and feels blessed being able to serve our student athletes as their athletic director. His mission is to equip the coaching staff enabling them to teach, mentor, and coach their respective teams along with a desire is to create an environment where there is a "spirit of unity" as reflected in Romans 15:5.
