Kindergarten | Elementary | Middle/High School
Our elementary school includes 1st through 5th grades. There are five major areas of study in these grades:
Bible
Each year, students study the fundamental doctrines of the Christian faith in an expanding spiral. Important Bible stores, characters, themes and principles relate to the broader doctrines of the unit. The units include: God, Creation, Man, Salvation, Inspiration, Angels and Satan, and the Second Coming of Christ.
Mathematics
The mathematics courses are designed to achieve five basic objectives:
- Develop understanding of math concepts.
- Produce speed and accuracy in computation.
- Develop application of skills in problem solving.
- Teach biblical principles of math in stewardship, design in nature, etc.
- Kindle a love for and appreciation of mathematics.
Science
The science courses at the elementary level are designed to give students hands-on experience with basic scientific activities, develop the scientific process of inquiry, and build a factual and conceptual framework for more advanced study.
The courses are developed to form a Christian perspective, based on the belief that the Bible is absolutely infallible at those points were it speaks of scientific. Creation is emphasized, humanism and evolution refuted.
Heritage Studies
These courses present the events of history, the development of the United States, and the world around us from a biblical perspective. The courses recognize the fact that God is central to the events of history. God's relationship with Israel, the life of Jesus Christ, and the growth and impact of Christianity upon history are given central prominence. Patriotism, citizenship, and family responsibility are the goals of the series.
English Language
This study is broken down in five basic sections: English skills, penmanship, spelling, reading, and English grammar.
