Financing of the School

DBCS is a ministry of Denbigh Baptist Church. The school is to be self-supporting. This means that the school is not subsidized by the offerings of the church, nor does it receive funds from any agency, governmental or private. The church's support for the school consists of use of the classroom facilities and designated gifts from individuals. The school is financed primarily through tuition. Since the school is financed in this way, it is imperative that CURRENT ACCOUNTS BE MAINTAINED in order to meet teachers' salaries and other expenses.

There is a tuition discount for more than one child of the same family in our school. While tuition may be broken down into monthly payments, there is a percentage discount for full tuition payment at the beginning of the school year.

In order to keep our tuition affordable, we operate on an extremely conservative budget. Therefore, we cannot exist without all families keeping their accounts current. In this way, we all benefit by receiving a quality education at the lowest possible cost.

Financial Policy

  1. School salaries and operating expenses are paid by tuition, NOT by Denbigh Baptist Church.

  2. A payment schedule will be sent to each school family during the month of July, outlining their payment schedule for the next school year. Parents will receive two copies - one to keep, and one to sign and return to the school office, acknowledging your understanding of your responsibility.

  3. It is the responsibility of parents/guardians to contact the school administrator or School Board finance chairman if financial problems arise.

  4. TUITION PAYMENTS DBCS offers the following payment plans:
    1. Annual Payment: Full tuition may be paid in advance by August 1. When the tuition is paid in full, prior to August 1, a 2% discount will be applied.

    2. Semi-annual/Semester Payments: First semester tuition paid by August 1st will receive a 1% discount. Second semester tuition paid in advance by January 1st will also receive a 1% discount.

    3. Ten Equal Payments: Tuition may be paid in ten (10) monthly payments. The first payment is due August 1st, with the final payment due May 1st of the following year. Payments not received by the 15th of each month, or first business day after, will be charged a $30.00 late fee.

    4. Twelve Equal Payments: Tuition may be paid in twelve (12) monthly payments. The first payment is due June 1st, with the final payment due May 1st of the following year. Payments not received by the 5th of each month, or first business day after, will be charged a $30.00 late fee.
